Lance has been featured in Metropolis’ “Next Generation” program and Architectural Record’s “emerging architect” series. He has written and spoken widely on sustainable design, and he pens the regular “ecology” column for Architect magazine. He is co-author of Women in Green: Voices of Sustainable Design, and his forthcoming book is entitled, The Shape of Green: Aesthetics, Ecology, and Design.
Galen Cranz

Galen teaches courses in the social and cultural bases of design, and her current research includes the body and the near-environment and the office of the future. Her landmark study, The Chair: Rethinking Culture, Body and Design, offers a fresh look at the history and future of furniture design, with a focus on body awareness.
Bill Dowell

As leader of Herman Miller’s multifaceted research team, Bill has been involved in some of the most innovative R&D in the industry. Recent work includes studies of seating behaviors, anthropometry, the effects of computing on seated posture, and the components of subjective comfort. A Certified Professional Ergonomist, he is a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomic Society.
Jill Fehrenbacher
Green Designer; Founder, Inhabitat
Jill is a freelance designer, green design consultant, and founder of the web’s most popular sustainable design blog. She created Inhabitat in 2005 to catalog her search for new ways to improve the world through forward-thinking, high-tech, and environmentally conscious design. A graphic designer-turned-architect by training, Jill writes and speaks widely on sustainable design.
Susan Szenasy
Editor in Chief, Metropolis magazine
A recognized authority on design and sustainability, Susan Szenasy has led Metropolis since 1986. With the magazine’s “Next Generation” program, she has created a unique forum for the innovative work of young designers. She is a noted speaker and teacher of design ethics and was a co-recipient of the 2007 Civitas August Heckscher Award for Community Service and Excellence.
Micahel Wollaeger

Michael has served as the editor-in-chief of the award-winning Western Interiors and Design magazine since its launch in 2003. Previously, he served as the executive editor of Architectural Digest for fifteen years. He is a graduate of the Radcliffe Publishing Procedures Course and began his publishing career in New York.
